2 things for July:
1st is the 3rd installment of the Build the Basement concerts on Saturday, July 10 from 2-4 PM. It will be an ice cream social highlighted by some patriotic music.
2nd is the annual fundraiser for Capitol City Opera, On the Lightside. This year, the troupe will be performing Rogers & Hammerstein. You know I love that! Sorry, this show is already sold out, but we're seeking another venue to have a 2nd performance. I'll let you know!

- Amber Brooke
- I am a coloratura soprano, trained classically both in the United States and Europe. I am a singer/actor/dancer, so I have a varied resume which includes opera, operetta, musical theatre, straight theatre, theme parks, cruise ships, and children's theatre. I have worked on the stage and backstage as a performer, director, and choreographer. I am happily married and we have three children, two girls and a boy.

As we now enjoy relative ease of existence, we are challenged to make life meaningful and to strive for something more within ourselves. To this end, I believe music gives us the opportunity to be in touch with something better in our core, to explore who we truly are and what we feel and by so doing, to become better and higher versions of ourselves.
